The Welsh Ambulance Service is driving forward a commitment to improving road safety for all ages across the country.

In 2011 the Trust is launching a campaign to help youngsters understand the dangers of distractions while near busy roads.

And behind the scenes operational crews are visiting primary, secondary and colleges to share the knowledge of what they see and face while dealing with road traffic collisions on a daily basis.

The Trust is also working with other emergency services and local authorities to make sure our message combined with others, can help reduce casualty rates on the regions roads.

In 2010 the Trust led a North Wales Road Safety Partnership backed DVD regarding paramedic Dermot O’ Leary’s blue light driving experience. It reveals the dangers he faces due to risks taken by other road users and calls on people to become more road savvy.
